Christmas Eve Part I - Cookie Making

Greyson and Hudson waited ALL week long to make and frost cookies for Santa.Finally Christmas Eve came and they were able to get to it!!! They made sugar cookies that looked like stars, christmas trees, gingerbread men, snowmen, and candy canes. The boys possibly ate more than they made but in the end Santa had an enourmous plate full of cookies prepared for him! We hope Santa is hungry when he comes to our house tonight!

After the cookies were made the boys settled down to watch STAR WARS!!! The boys wrote a letter asking Santa for REAL life savers light sabers for Christmas! What a better way to build the excitment than to watch the movie!!! Nice thinkin Santa Dad!!! 

CHRISTMAS EVE PART II - Red Robin

Going out to eat on Christmas Eve is a tradition John grew up with. John remembers the tradition fondly and wanted to continue with the tradition in our home. As a family we decided each year we spent Christmas in Oklahoma we would pick a new restaurant to eat at. This year as a family we chose RED ROBIN!!!

Take note of the hats the boys have on. Greyson made them at school. He made a Santa hat for himself and a Reindeer hat for Hudson. They were so cute and proud walking into the restaurant with them on.

We started the night off with an AWESOME showing of Kung Fu given by our one and only Hudson...



 Then Greyson surprised us with his FABULOUS sword fighting skills...

After which both boys gave us an INCREDIBLE showing of what NOT to do at the dinner table...

Finally FORCED family pictures with mom and dad. Thanks Red Robin for dinner!!!

We ended the night at Hudsons favorite Chick fil a for a Peppermint shake.

CHRISTMAS EVE PART III - Natvity and Jammies

On the way home from eating at Red Robin we stopped off at Elder and Sister Binghams house to sing 'We Wish You a Merry Christms'. Elder and Sister Bingham are the missionary couple that work with John at the Institute this year.

One of our Holiday traditions is to open a present on Christmas Eve. So when we got home they got right to opening their present. Greyson and Hudson LOVE coming home from school and putting pjs on. I don't know why they just do so they were super excited to open Batman and Superman JAMMIES!!!

After the boys opened their jammies John read the NATIVITY story to us from the scriptures. We sang a couple of Christmas SONGS and had family PRAYER. Then before bed the boys set out COOKIES for Santa and sprinkled MAGIC reindeer food over our front lawn. The boys were so excited for Santa to come. I didn't think they would sleep but after an exhausting day they were pooped!!! Nighty night boys. We'll see you on CHRISTMAS morning!!!
